Robert earned his undergraduate degree from St. Mary’s University and his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law. After graduating, he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney (ADA), where he quickly earned a reputation for being aggressive, efficient, and highly effective in the courtroom. His early success led to his appointment as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Western District of Texas, where he managed a broad array of federal cases, including serious offenses such as bank robbery, carjacking, kidnapping, extortion, hate crimes, fraud, human trafficking, and civil rights violations. Throughout his tenure as a prosecutor, Robert was assigned to the Complex Fraud and Public Corruption Unit, where he became an expert in white-collar crime, health care fraud, procurement fraud, tax violations, wire fraud, and other financial crimes.
